Whether it's taking the Zip Line Eco Tour 500 feet above Descanso Beach, reaching the top of our new 32 ft rock climbing wall or walking on the ocean floor via Sea Trek Undersea Tour, there are many new adventures to try on Catalina Island. For golfers we have our challenging nine hole golf course and family friendly miniature course for all ages. Tours into the island's wild and rustic interior, semi submersible submarines, and informative behind the scenes tours of the Catalina Casino are just a few of the many great opportunities available to our visitors.

Dolphin Quest

The Dolphin Quest heads out of the Avalon harbor three times a day to search out dolphins. Experience the thrill of watching these incredible creatures in their natural environment on a guided tour that accommodates up to 12 guests using our high-speed, RIB (rigid inflatable boat) craft. | 1 Hour

Zip Line Eco Tour

Screen Shot 2014-07-15 at 2.58.06 PMDesigned to take your breath away, the Catalina Zip Line Eco Tour takes riders from an elevation of 500 feet at Hog's Back Gate, through five "zips," ending 60 feet above sea level at Descanso Beach. Zip segments up to 1,045 long and each ends at a platform where you will get information on what it is you're zipping past. Tours begin and end at Descanso Beach Zip LIne Tour Center. Discover The Casino

You'll see the extraordinary Art Deco murals and a classic 1929 pipe organ inside the Avalon Theatre, which still shows nightly movies on its massive screen. A short film is shown highlighting the history of this iconic building and its Hollywood connection. You’ll then continue up to the beautiful, world-famous Casino Ballroom, a masterpiece of design and a long-standing venue for the world’s best musical performers and big bands. The ballroom’s “Romance Promenade” offers some of the most spectacular views of Avalon and for decades has been considered the most romantic spot in Avalon. | 30 minutes

Miniature Golf

Originally built by the Banning Brothers in 1892, this scenic, 2,100-yard course has nine challenging holes, two sets of tees for 18-hole play, and is the former home of the Bobby Jones Invitational Tournament. A fully stocked Pro Shop, rental clubs, electric and pull carts, and PGA-certified pro is available.

East End Adventure

Traveling to 1,500 feet above sea level, you’ll enjoy a birds-eye view of romantic Santa Catalina Island and the ocean beyond. The open-air Extreme Hummer Tour travels five miles up rugged interior terrain, where you will experience spectacular views of the coastline and deep canyons below. Lined by beautiful eucalyptus trees, the tour winds its way back along the Summit Road into Avalon. Advance reservations are recommended. | 2 Hours

Skyline Drive

Along the trip you’ll see spectacular vistas, deep canyons, quiet coves and an endless blue ocean. Keep your eyes open for the island’s largest inhabitant, buffalo, before you visit the Catalina Nature Center at the Airport in the Sky. The airport’s DC-3 Grill offers a quick bite and famous “killer cookies.” Bring your camera because picture-perfect scenes fill the entire tour. | 2.25 Hours

Undersea Expedition

You’ll see an incredible array of undersea dwellers: bright orange garibaldi, spotted calico bass, urchins, rockfish and bat rays, just to name a few. This is more than a tour; it’s an undersea adventure. | 45 Minutes
